highland retreat

These wonderful, busy clients came to us to help them refresh their living room and master bedroom and help select light fittings. Their house is in a stunning highland setting and has a real sense of peace which we wanted to reflect in the interior choices. In the living room, we decided to reupholster the existing and much loved sofa and armchairs, put down a rug, paint the TV cabinet and install some curtains for darker nights. It’s a haven of cosy calm. In the bedroom the fitted night stands and coved ceiling defined the space and depth we had to work with but we designed a headboard for the bed, sourced a quilt and ordered custom made cushions. We also commissioned glorious Scottish rugs for barefoot luxury and reupholstered a chair in some stunning Liberty fabric. The finishing touch was a stunning bespoke light fitting in the stairwell - an artefact in its own right and in the perfect setting.
